Goodwillie and Robinson rape case
So after no criminal trial but a civil case against the two found them both guilty and ordering £100k in compenasation, David Robertson has now retired with goodwillie expected to follow suit.

Not sure what to make of this. Strange case all round - to be found guilty on balance of probability as opposed to beyond reasonable doubt.

I'm always dubious when the alleged attempt to make any sort of settlements outside of court.

I mean if you were innocent, you wouldn't pay them a penny would you?

Tough one with footballers, as these women can't help but throw themselves at them knowing they have a bit of wedge, but also the footballers nowadays seem to think they can walk on water and do what they like.

I've always believed that Michael Jackson was indeed a wrong-un, as he paid that Jordy chaps family fucking millions.

Re: Goodwillie and Robinson rape case
They haven't settled out of court though

It never went to a criminal trial so the victim sued and a civil case found them guilty and having to pay compensation

Re: Goodwillie and Robinson rape case
Why is the compensation ordered £100k?
Is it based on income/assets or would have two rapey call centre workers been hit the same.

As I understand it a security guard at a nightclub testified that the girl was completely pissed out of her head and couldn't stand up.
And the players offered to take her home in a taxi. And took her elsewhere

Well that sounds like more than they had on chef Evans to get him to trial!

He should change his name to Badwillie

Presume Badwillie will be let go by Plymouth if he doesn't retire.
That's Plymouth with the goalie who murdered two children.

Good work egg! You yourself must be quite HARD-BOILED to joke about such a serious matter though

Both of them look like they have a certain darkness about them.

I notice Putridpenis has quite some record of assault in nightclubs including a 'glassing' where he was found guilty. You would think football clubs would steer well clear of arseholes like this. It's not as if he's had much success in hitting the back of the net when on official duty.

What happens if they refuse to pay the young lady her compensation? Jail or bankruptcy maybe?

She wanted £500k originally, I believe.

My brother recently got sacked from his job with the police ( not a copper before you start 😄 ) based on probability.

16 years with them, several commendations and now kicked out without a reference.

His alleged crime? He didn't put 60p into the honesty box for a bar of chocolate.

2 witnesses against him, 5 for him but they decided based on probability that he did it.

Sounds like it, greedy fat cunt ;-)

Re: Goodwillie and Robinson rape case
He said he didn't but even so it seems a bit harsh to lose your job for 60p.

Honesty goes a long way, might be a bar of daily milk today, but tomorrow it's post-it notes, then bic pens, the next thing you know he'll be breaking into the place at the weekend to nick bog roll. nip it in the bud i say.

Re: Goodwillie and Robinson rape case
Maybe they'd better get some CCTV pointing at that honesty box?

Sad thing is that one of the two who claimed they hadn't seen him put wedge in were obviously the ones who grassed him up.

Sad fuckers.

David Goodwille scored the winning goal for West Ham United in extra time of the Champions League Final on FM for me a while back. Beat AC Milan 2-1.

For that reason he's always be alright by me.
